William (Bert) Evans Sr.

1933 - 2024

CLEMMONS, NC – William (Bert) Evans Sr., 90, passed away Sunday, February 4, 2024,
surrounded by his family.

Bert was born in Sussex County, Delaware to the late Louis and Gloria Evans. He worked for
Hawaiian Punch, R. J. Reynolds, and Reynolda Presbyterian Church for much of his life. Bert was
also a member of Reynolda Presbyterian Church. He proudly served in the Army National Guard
of Delaware.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Eva and his brother Loren
Evans.

Those left to cherish his memory are his children; Gwen Davis-Harrison(Ryan), William B. Evans
Jr.(Donna), Tricia Smith(Bryan), Paulette Grant, Rebekah Folk(John Dailey); grandchildren,
Ashley Dixon(James), Ashleigh Jedlowski(Ron), Tyler Grant(Destiny), Andrew Evans, Jacob
Krause(Amber), Perrin Autry(Michael), Tiffany Adams(Caleb), Salem Harrison(Garrett Baum),
Nikki Murphy(Taylor), Joshua Smith, Seth Harrison, Daniel Smith, Jeremiah Smith, Emmie Folk,
Benjamin Smith; great-grandchildren, Micah Fansler, Patrick Fansler, Audrey Jedlowski, Paxton
Rivera, Aivah Murphy, Theodore Murphy, Augustus Grant, Scarlett Krause, Jonah Murphy,
baby Adams due in September; sisters, Laura Trethewey and Mariam Corbett, brother Amos Evans(Linda);
and numerous nieces and nephews.

Charitable donations in Bert’s memory may be made to the charity of your choice or to Trellis
Support Care(trellissupport.org).

A memorial service will be held at Reynolda Presbyterian Church on Monday February 12 @
2PM, visitation with family will be @ 1PM.

The family is being served by Affordable Cremations of Winston-Salem. Online condolences may be

    Bert, my brother was a godly man who was kind and caring. He raised a large family of wonderful people. Whenever I visited NC he had a place for me and my family. He has an eternal home in heaven. Mariam
