Walter Reid Jackson Jr., 56, from Forsyth County, resided in Tobaccoville, NC, at the time he went home to be with the lord on July 8, 2026.

Born January 24, 1970, as Robin Tucker, he later changed his name to match his father’s and family legacy of what grew to become Jackson Piano Co. He was the son of Walter Reid Jackson Sr. and the late Virginia O’Quinn Starling Thomas Tucker Jackson.

Walter, Jr. spent most of his life working within the family piano business that started as Starling Piano Co and remained for 75 years. He took great pride in the legacy, his great grandfather, G.W. Starling Sr. started, defying the odds of being blind. Walter, Jr. enjoyed keeping the legacy and music alive though so many families, schools, and businesses throughout the Triad area under the new ownership of his father thereafter while sustaining his own entrepreneurial endeavors in construction.

Above all, Walter Jr. was a loving father. He is survived by his son, Chastin Jackson, and his daughters Shianna Jackson,  Brittany Stacy Clarke and step daughter Crystal Hardin who were the center of his world; seven grandchildren; and his dear siblings of a big family where he took the honor of being Uncle Robin to many. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Memorial services will be held July 25th at 5pm.
