Virginia Vance Penland
1956 - 2023
Virginia Anne Penland was born September 20,1956 to Theon Harris Vance and Bettie Allen Vance. She was preceded in death by a brother Gary Vance. She is survived in death by her husband Roger Penland Sr, daughter Elizabeth Moore (Eric), son Roger Penland Jr (Sherry), daughter Bettie Penland. Four grandchildren, granddaughter Christina Perry, granddaughter Lori Workman, grandson James Ellis III, and grandson Donovan Vance Penland. Her brother Theon Vance, brother Tom Vance, and sister Bettie Steelman.
She was a devoted Christian who loved her friends and family dearly. Special thanks to Cindy Day for all her special treats and help. Trellis (Hospice) and Tiffany Little for her care and compassion during a rough time. As well as Baptist Cancer Center with Dr Petty as her care provider.
Memorial service will be Friday May 19. 2023 at 6pm at South Fork Church of Christ for those who would like to pay their respects.
Loyalty is rare in this day and time but it is people just like you my friend that set the stage for it. No one is perfect and money cannot buy what you left behind. You will remain in my memory as I grew up knowing a woman who always only had kind words and encouragement. R.I.P until we meat again my friend
