Timothy Neal Wright
1949 - 2026
Timothy departed this life on July 2, 2026. He was born on January 22, 1949, to Sam Pink Wright, Jr. and Edith Kates Wright. He lived his life in Winston-Salem, NC, Yadkinville, NC, Bermuda Run and Advance NC.
He was a member of Lewisville United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Wright.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Wright; son, Benjamin Wright and grandson, Hudson B. Wright. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, Tom Pratt and wife, Gayleen Pratt; sister-in-law, Susan Edwards and husband, Don Edwards and many cherished nieces and nephews.
Tim graduated from West Forsyth High School and attended Garner Webb University. He loved collecting antiques at yard sales, flea market and estate sales.
He was a salesman all of his life and worked for Renn Enterprising, Sara Lee Corporation, South Atlantic packaging, Parkway Ford, Tanglewood Golf and Bermuda Run Golf.
He loved the outdoors and spent many hours boating and fishing at Lake Norman and playing golf on many courses in North Carolina and South Carolina.
A private family funeral will be held at a later date.
Tim was a wonderful husband to his beautiful wife, Beth. Your jokes, your smile, your laugh will truly be missed.

When I think of Tim, I think of much laughter, giggles, and reminiscing about our glorious and care free days at West Forsyth High School. He had a good soul and left people happy when he departed from them, and he hasn’t stopped yet. It was obvious he loved his sweet Beth and family greatly. He will be greatly missed by all. Rest in peace my dear friend.
Tim was always happy to see me. Beth is a wonderful wife who took care of Tim for 55 years and never complained.
Our family will truly miss Tim. We will forever cherish the memories of meals together, family beach week and golf outings. Tim and Beth loved each other and were so devoted to one other. Tim brought so much laughter to our family and always seemed to appreciate our family bond. We will certainly miss him!
I did not know Tim very well but delighted in Tim and Beth’s love story, starting in their early teens. A long loving marriage is an enduring gift. Hold them close to your heart, Beth.
Beth, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your beloved husband. My heart goes out to you. May the Lord provide you with the strength you need to deal with your grief and face each new day without him. May the Lord bless you and give you Peace.
Tim’s friendship is one I shall miss and always treasure.Whether work or play there was always that smile.

Tim will always hold a special place in my heart. He will be truly missed by our family. He always brought so much fun and laughter when we were all together. Hold all these wonderful memories close.
Tim was also preceded in death by an older brother, Sam Pink Wright III and is still survived by a sister-in-law, Sue Wright and several nieces and nephews from his brother and sister.
I meet Tim in the mid 70’s. We had been friends for many years. I had lost touch in the last few years. I pray that Beth is doing well, as I thought the world of her also. Tim will surely be missed. I have many fond memories of playing golf with him on our annual family vacations on the coast. One special memory was when he and my other brother in law and nephew came to Goldsboro and helped me clean up storm damage after a hurricane. His sense of humor and fellowship will be missed. Rest in peace Tim.
Tim left us too soon, but with many memories from our shared adventures and experiences. We will surely miss that sweet, generous gentleman. Condolences to Beth, Ben and Hudson.
I met Tim and Beth while teaching at Meadowlark. While there, the class gardens needed to be removed due to the threat of black widow spider’s..so Tim stepped up and hauled off all the railroad ties. He delivered them and set up a new raised garden bed at my home. It was a lot of work! That’s just the kind of guy Tim was – always helping others.
