Timothy James Cushman

1958 - 2024

Timothy James Cushman passed away April 25, 2024 at Novant Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC, leaving behind his beloved Wife, Theresa Seebald. He was born to James and Marilyn Cushman in Freeport NY. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications at SUNY Oswego. He worked as a private investigator at 716 Security and Investigations, also with Band of Brothers as a salesman. He also had his own business as a process server. He enjoyed working and staying busy. He liked to cook and enjoyed the gun range. He was a huge Buffalo Bills fan. He was a blue coater (walked on the field with the Buffalo Bills during the Jim Kelly era.) He loved going to the beach with his wife Theresa Seebald who he loved very much, and they both enjoyed traveling together. He loved his family and friends and spending time with them. He was very proud of being part of the Largest US Coast Guard family and researching family on Ancestry.com. He loved his two dogs Bandit and Cody. He is survived by his three children, Erin Delano (Ricky), James, and Shawn. Also, his grandchildren Ricky, Kristian, and Cayden Delano. He also leaves behind his brother Michael Cushman and sister Katie (Gary) Windham. and mother-in-law Helen Seebald and the late Raymond “Bud” Seebald. Brother-in-law of Raymond Seebald, Marilyn (Bob) Ballard, Barbara (David) Maloney, Joe (Catherine) Seebald, Edward (Geana) Seebald, Matthew (Kirsten) Seebald and the late Richard Seebald. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Donations may be sent in Tim’s memory to the to Duke Hematology, Novant Forsyth Hematology, Buffalo Sheriff’s Department, Buffalo Police Department, the New York State Troopers and Tunnel to Towers Foundation. There will be a Celebration of at a later date at the James W. Cannan Funeral Home in Orchard Park, NY.
The family will receive friends to celebrate Timothy’s life on Friday, May 10, 2024 from 5:00 to 7:00PM at the picnic area of the Dorchester-Landing Community Park in Clemmons, NC. Please feel free to bring a dish or desert to share. Soft drinks will be provided.

    Our hearts go out to you and Katie. Tim will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. He fought the good fight and he was such an inspiration to everyone. Sending sympathy, love, and prayers.
