Stephen Murphy Jr.
1940 - 2023
Stephen Murphy Jr. was born on September 4, 1940, and he departed this life on August 30, 2023, at Hospice Home of High Point. Stephen was the son of the late Stephen Murphy and Elouise Murphy. He attended church regularly, was a very humble person, a great friend, son, brother, and father. He greatly enjoyed the art of music and dance and always said Sam Cooke was one of his favorite artists. He would even venture out of the country to explore different types of dances.
Those left to cherish his memories are a son and daughter, Stephen Murphy, and Chanda Murphy; one grandson, Cody DeVoid; Two sisters, Ella Bryant, and Katie Robinson a brother, Levi Murphy; long-time friends Nick and Jennie Bethea, and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
