Stephanie June Elliott
1965 - 2023
Stephanie June Elliott, age 57, passed away unexpectedly at her home in Wilkesboro, North Carolina on July 29, 2023. She was born in St. Louis, Missouri on October 13, 1965.
Stephanie is preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Lay, and a stillborn twin. She is survived by her three daughters, Ashley (Brittany) Delbridge of Taylorsville, North Carolina, Heather Merritt of Wilkesboro, North Carolina, and Sarah Merritt of Stuart, Florida; four grandchildren, Leola Pierce, Luca Lathrop, Cali Lathrop, and Emma Matheson; and her three brothers, Roger (Linda) Lay of Greenwood, Arkansas, Jason (Julie) Lay of St. Louis, Missouri, and Johnnie Lay of Bonne Terre, Missouri.
Stephanie spent most of her life working in customer service, dedicating herself to helping others. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, watching movies, participating in trivia, and spending time with loved ones.
The family will hold a celebration of life for Stephanie on Sunday, August 6, 2023, from 12-3 pm at Cub Creek Baptist Church on Moravian Falls Road. All who knew and loved Stephanie are invited to attend and share their memories of this hard working and caring woman.
Rest in peace, dear Stephanie. You will be deeply missed by all those who were fortunate enough to know you.
