Patricia Gillespie Sarvis died June 10, 2023 at Trellis Supportive Care from metastatic uveal cancer. She was born July 6, 1951 in Winston-Salem, NC to the late John J and Elizabeth Schirmer Gillespie. She graduated from Parkland High School and UNCG. She worked for 38 years in the Blood Bank at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center before retiring. She enjoyed travel, painting, quilting, crochet and cross-stitching, as well as her passion for genealogy.
She was survived by her beloved husband, Larry Sarvis of the home, her brothers and sisters, Thomas Gillespie, Winston-Salem, Susan Gillespie Tuttle of Belmont, NC, Paul Gillespie (Jenelle), Ventura, CA, Gregory Gillespie of Winston-Salem, Teresa Gillespie James (Myron), Lexington, NC, Catherine Gillespie Atkins (Tim), Madison, NC, Andrew Gillespie, Winston-Salem, and Frederick Gillespie of Spruce Pine, NC; her nieces and nephews Nichole Gillespie, Ventura, CA, Michelle Tuttle Goelzer (Tim), Fort Mill, SC, Bradey Tuttle (Krissy), Zionsville, IN, Allison Atkins Petschul (Bryan), Eden, NC, Brandon Atkins, Greenville, NC, Benjamin James of Winston-Salem and Deidre James of Piney Flats TN; great-nieces and nephews Clayton and Adeline Tuttle, Rachel and Landon Goelzer, and Bryson and Everliegh Petschul. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her nephew Sean Gillespie.
