Patricia Ann Ennis
1948 - 2022
Mrs. Patricia Ann Ennis, 74, passed away December 2, 2022 after a lengthy but courageous battle with colon cancer. She was born November 4, 1948 in Raleigh, NC to the late Elizabeth and John Edward Coore, Jr. Patricia was a 1967 graduate of Broughton High School in Raleigh, NC. She shared a great love for world history, Nancy Drew mystery novels, classic rock music and animals, especially dogs. Mrs. Ennis was preceded in death by her parents, John Edward Coore, Jr. & Elizabeth Turnage Coore; and her aunt Ann Flake. She is survived by her children, Justin Ennis of Winston-Salem, NC and Kathi (Ennis) Spivey of Wilmington, NC; son-in-law Chris Spivey of Wilmington, NC; uncle Robert Flake of Raleigh, NC; and a host of loving cousins & friends of the family. In-lieu of services and flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital in Memphis, TN, if desired.
I remember Pat Core very well. She was living on The Circle and I was on White Oak Rd. I would describe her as very proper and more mature than the average teenager. I invited her on a Wrightsville Beach trip while attending St Michael´s Episcopal Church and she had a good time. I only ran in to her a couple of times after graduation. Condolences to her family, especially her children and grandchildren. I know they will miss her.
