Mrs. Lalah Clarice Gwaltney Pettitt
1939 - 2026
Mrs. Lalah Clarice Gwaltney Pettitt, age 87, of Pinnacle, passed away peacefully at home on the morning of Wednesday, October 7, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Mrs. Pettitt was born on January 18, 1939, in Forsyth County to the late James Harvey Martin and Ruth Etta Ray Martin. She was a faithful member of Pinnacle Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles McCauley Pettitt; her grandson, Patrick Lee Wall; and her sister, Patricia A. McCuiston.
Those left to cherish her memory are her four children, Brenda (Bill) Slate, Sharon Duncan, Don (Dee Dee) Truell, and Jerry Truell; her grandchildren, Brandy (Chad) Livengood, Lakin (Chris) Tilley, Adam (Ashley) Truell, Josh Truell, Cody (Samantha) Truell, and Madison Truell; and her great-grandchildren, Joshua Wall, Megan Wall, Konnor Wall, Natalie Wall, Delilah Tilley, Juliet Tilley, Axelson Tilley, Eli Truell, Avery Truell, Kaylee Truell, Carson Truell, and Leni Truell.
She is also survived by her sisters, Ollie Walls and Linda Gant, along with many loving nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Pettitt will be lovingly remembered by her family and all who knew and cherished her.
