Michilene Demeta Barber
1963 - 2024
Michilene Demeta Barber was born on January 8, 1963, daughter of Alma M. Barber and Andy Barber, Sr. She peacefully departed this life on Wednesday, February 21, 2024.
A native of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, she attended Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools and graduated from R.J. Reynolds High School. She also attended Forsyth Technical Community College.
Michilene worked for many years as a Home Health Care Assistant. She thrived on spending time with her family. Michilene joined St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church at a very early age. Recently, she joined United Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, Andy Barber, Sr., brother, Andy Barber, Jr. and a twin sister Michelle Demetrice Benton.
Michilene is survived by her son Anthony D. McCloud of the home, two daughters Kileah E. McCloud and LeKina V. McCloud both of Rocky Mount NC, mother Mrs. Alma M. Barber, two sisters Pamela P. White(Steven) and Ponetta L. Barber both of the city. Four brothers, Ralph E. Meadows, Sr. of the city, Nathaniel Barber(Diane) of Clemmons NC, Zavious B. Pratt(Sharon) of the city and Zachary K. Pratt(Cherise) of Dacula, Georgia, an aunt Mary M. Williams. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.
