May 22, 1949 – April 15, 2026

Marsha Lynn Becker Loftis passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in Winston-Salem, NC.

She was born on May 22, 1949, in Buncombe County, North Carolina, to the late John F. Becker Jr. and Mary Ann Bryson Becker.

At an early age, Marsha moved to Winston-Salem with her parents and three siblings. She began her education at Our Lady of Mercy before continuing in the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County school system, where she graduated from West Forsyth High School in 1967.

Marsha devoted her life to caring for others, both personally and professionally. Over the years, she held several roles, including working with the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System in the late 1970s and early 1980s, serving as a corporate travel agent in the 1990s and early 2000s, and most recently working as a Certified Nursing Assistant. In this role, she lovingly cared for residents in assisted living, forming special bonds with those she served.

She found her greatest joy in time spent with family and friends. Marsha had a gift for hospitality and was an exceptional cook, making holidays and special occasions memorable for all who gathered at her table.

Though her passing leaves a void that cannot be filled, her family finds comfort in knowing she has been reunited with her beloved parents; her soulmate, Ronnie T. Loftis; her brother, John F. Becker III; and many other dear loved ones.

She is lovingly remembered by her son, Dale Loftis (Christi); her grandsons, Grayson Loftis (Sarah Kate) and Tanner Loftis; her sisters, Carlotta B. Fulton (Robert) and Susan B. Wrege (Mike); and her cherished nieces and nephews: Amy Jarvis, Kelly B. Frazier, Brian Jarvis, Jack Wrege, Brad Wrege (Cambridge), Cullen Becker, and Emily B. Nagel (Bradley), along with one great-niece and nine great-nephews.

At a later date, family and friends will gather to celebrate Marsha’s life at Pretty Place in the Mountains, a place close to her heart and the site where she and her late husband were married.

Marsha’s family will forever cherish her kindness, generosity, and the warmth of her beautiful smile. She will be deeply loved and profoundly missed.

The family is being respectfully served by Affordable Cremations.
