Kendall Blake Long
1962 - 2026
Kendall “Blake” Long, 63, passed away on April 28, 2026 after a hard fought battle with illness. He was born on November 21, 1962 in Forsyth County. Blake was preceded in death by his parents Numan Calvin and Peggy Ragsdale Long.
Blake was a graduate of Parkland High School and was a dedicated martial artist who earned a black belt in Judo, a discipline he practiced with focus and determination. Blake also had a love for the TV series, Star Trek having watched each episode hundreds of times throughout the years. He found inspiration in the stories of exploration and possibilities.
Blake is survived by his brother, Randy Long (Deborah) of Winston-Salem; his sisters, Jean Kelvyn Long of Clemmons and Kathy-Taylor Woods (Billy) of Toney, Alabama; his niece, Andrea Glass (Sammy); his nephew, Boyd Taylor (Theresa); two great-nephews and two great-nieces.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of Mountain Valley Hospice for the excellent care they gave to Blake and the care and support to the family.
