In Loving Memory of Joyce E. Tisdale

Joyce Eleanor Tisdale, native of Virginia, entered this world on September 23, 1957. She lived a life that was uniquely her own—strong, independent, spirited, and never afraid to follow her own path. She passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, at Hospice Home of Piedmont, in High Point, NC. She leaves behind three children Kevin L. Wright (Tiffany), Monica L. Hayes (Marlo), and Petra C. Wright; seven grandchildren, Taviayn Miller, Michael Hayes, Alayjah Wright, Kendra Saunders, Mason Hayes, Miko Hayes and Kamren Saunders, along with extended family and friends whose lives she touched in ways both remembered and lasting.

She is survived by one sister, Altha Tisdale, and two brothers, Ronnie Tisdale and Steven Tisdale (Janet). She is preceded in death by her father, George Tisdale, mother, Dorothy Tisdale, and two brothers James Tisdale and Norris Tisdale.

Joyce proudly served in the U.S. Army, where she found one of her greatest gifts in serving others through food. She had a natural talent for cooking and a generous spirit when it came to feeding people. Whether preparing meals for fellow soldiers during her military service or cooking for all occasions later in life, she found joy.

She also found joy in music, laughter, and simply living life as she saw fit. She was a woman who valued her independence and chose to live according to her own rules. She was strong-willed and determined, with a spirit that could not easily be contained.

May she finally find peace and may those she leaves behind find peace in their own way as they remember, reflect, and say goodbye.

Rest peacefully, Mom.
