Walnut Cove – Ms. Della Ayers, 81, passed away on February 27, 2022.

Della passed away peacefully after an extended illness on February 27, 2022. She was employed by Carolina Narrow Fabric for 30 years and retired in March 2021 due to health reasons. She was predeceased by parents Nellie and Thomas Joyce, sisters Frances Seay, Betty Sneed and Mary Perryman. Della is survived by a special companion of 16 years Bandit her dachshund, brother Robert (Barbara), children Patricia Rau (Mike) of Winston Salem, Terry Joyce of Walnut Cove, grandchildren Michael (Hannah), Sarah, Brittany (Rob) great grandchildren Dallas, Eden, Ivy, step sons George, Keith and Wayne Hunter and a many nieces and nephews.
