Ronald Craig “Smokey” Blevins
April 23rd, 1952 – June 13th, 2026

Ronald Craig “Smokey” Blevins, 74, of Kernersville, passed away on June 13th at his home.

Smokey was born on April 23rd, 1952 in Winston-Salem, NC to Marshall and Mary Blevins. He graduated from East Forsyth High School and worked in his younger years as a Machinist at Westington House. Later he became a Farrier, which is when he gained his love for horses.

Smokey enjoyed riding motorcycles, fast cars/boats, watching Nascar racing and sports, especially the Tennessee Vols. He cherished time with his family, his dog, LuLu, and riding his motorcycle. He was a proud grandpa and great-grandpa, you couldn’t have a conversation without hearing about them. They brought him much joy!

He is preceded in death by his parents, Mary Clifton Blevins and William “Marshall” Blevins and a sister, Carol Leonard.

Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter, Lori Blevins Adkins of Yadkinville; son, Todd Blevins of Kernersville; granddaughter, Madison Clodfelter; grandson, Nevin Hunter (Claire); great-grandson, Theodore “Theo” Hunter; sister, Brenda Anderson of Walkertown; aunt, Pat Aaron (John); uncles, Leon Clifton (Evonne) and James Clifton (Dessie).

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 Saturday, July 11th, at Clifton Farms.

Smokey will be remembered for his big heart, tender soul, deep scratchy laugh, youthful personality and bear hugs. He will live on in our hearts forever and be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
