Darren Dene Duncan

Darren Dene Duncan, 58, of Lexington, NC entered his heavenly home on the morning of Tuesday, May 21, 2024, after a fierce battle with rectal cancer. He was born on June 28, 1965 in Carlisle, Pennsylvania to the late Clark “Dene” and Nancy Duncan.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Amanda; three sons, Kyler, Kayden, and Carson; two older sons, Corey of Waynesville, NC and Cody (Stephanie) of Weaverville, NC; grandson, Thane; brother, Mike and wife Sharon of Lakeland, FL; sister, Patricia Mendock and husband Marty of Travelers Rest, SC; and many close friends that he considered family.

The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the nurses and staff at Novant Health Cancer Center, as well as, his hospice nurses for treating both Darren and his family with so much compassion during his journey from beginning to end. The family would also like to thank friends and strangers from all over for their prayers.

A memorial service with a gathering of friends will be held from 2:00 PM—4:00 PM Sunday, June 2, 2024, at Linville Forest Church of Christ in Kernersville, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105, a charity that Darren was very compassionate about.
