Rebecca Jean Smith
1961 - 2022
Rebecca went to meet her lord and savior on May 24, 2022 after a long battle with multiple health problems.
She was born May 7, 1961 in Winston-Salem, NC. She was preceded in death by her father Charles William Smith, her mother, Betty Smith Rishel, and her step-father Lt. Col. Maurice “Rick” Rishel USAF, Ret.
Surviving are her two sisters Pamela Lynn Smith of Lexington, NC, Tracy Smith Hamilton (Glenn) of Clemmons, NC and her niece Airman First Class Kelly Cheek of Shreveport, LA.
Rebecca will be remembered for her giving heart and her love of animals.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made in Rebecca’s honor to the SPCA of the Triad.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

I am just finding this announcement and so sorry to be so late expressing my sincere sympathy. I have know the family…..including their now deceased parents Betty and Charlie, for well over 50 years. Betty was such a devoted mother and a dear friend and i miss her still. To lose a sibbling is so very difficult and my thoughts and prayers are with you.
