Victoria Adams Gordon
1954 - 2024
Victoria Adams Gordon, born October 16, 1954 went home to Heaven to be with the love of her life, David on March 1, 2024. Victoria worked for Stokes County Schools for 30 plus years starting out in the cafeteria and then later transitioning to an EC teacher assistant in the classrooms. She attended Surry Community College and obtained a degree in early childhood education.
Victoria was an avid gardener and was known for having the greenest thumb in town. She loved sharing her flowers with the community and her knack for canning with everyone. Her happy place was being about to work outside in her yard and in her garden. She also was a collector of holstein cows and anything black and white.
Victoria was a great cook and never knew how to fix a small meal. She always wanted there to be plenty if someone stopped by. She also loved her EC students and was passionate about supporting the needs of her students and the Special Olympics. But, her greatest love was her family and most of all her children Brian and Kelly. She loved them with her whole heart.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, David Brian Gordon, her parents Les and Judy Adams and three brothers– Robert Adams, James Dean Adams and John Adams.
She is survived by her two children Brian Gordon-Scott (Jason Gordon-Scott) and Kelly Stowe (Jordan Stowe) and her grandchildren– Adeline Marie Stowe, Clayton Thomas Mitchell and Ronnie Dawson Mitchell. Her brothers and sisters– Marcia Bennett (Ronnie), Mary King (Mike), Chrissy Bolen (Ed), Billy Adams, Vernon Adams (Debby) and several nieces and nephews.
The family will have a celebration of life, Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 11:30 am at Olive Grove Baptist Church in Pinnacle, NC. The family will be receiving visitors at Olive Grove Baptist Church prior to the service from 10:30-11:30

Our deepest condolences to Brian,Kelly and all of Victorias family. We hadn’t known Vicky long but we love Brian and are thankful that she loved our son. Rest in peace Vicky and we know your without pain!
So sad to hear of her passing. Vickie was a teacher assistant in our EC classroom when I taught at SSMS. I have fond memories of her laughter, and listening to her talk about the good ole days. She kept her home decorated so uniquely, and showed us her huge canning pantry once. She was a hard worker and could always find something to do as she never sat for long! She loved our students and especially her grand babies. I will cherish the photograph she framed for me of sunflowers she grew. It is still hanging in my daughter’s room. She absolutely touched many lives, including my own. Sending all my love and prayers to her family. ❤️
Vickie and I were friends all through school. She was a very sweet person. I got to see her back in the fall at a supper we had for the eighth grade class from Pinnacle Elementary school. My prayers are with all the family members. May God give you peace and comfort in the days ahead.
