Stacy Cooper Caston, 58, passed away on December 19, 2025, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina at Baptist Hospital. Born on August 14, 1967, in Lancaster, South Carolina, and resided for over 18 years in Cleveland County.
Family was at the center of Stacy’s world. She is lovingly remembered by her son Kenny Cooper and his girlfriend Tiffany Crisp; her cherished granddaughter Kera; her devoted sister Melanie Anderson and husband Steve Anderson; and her special nieces Stefanie Sellers and Krista Blackburn. She also held a close bond with her nephew Steven Anderson II.
Stacy is survived by step-father Benny Millwood, her father Kenneth Cooper, sister Leslie Cooper Norris, and brother Joel Cooper.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Sylvia Holden Millwood, and her infant daughter Lauren—losses that remained close to her heart.
Stacy’s legacy extends beyond immediate family to numerous extended relatives who loved her deeply and were loved just as deeply in return. Her devotion as a family member and aunt was unwavering. Stacy brought warmth and joy to those around her throughout her life.
Stacy was known for her radiant smile and infectious laughter—qualities that could light up any room she entered. Her kind and loving nature left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She was affectionately known as “Mama Stacy” by many whose lives she touched with her nurturing spirit and open heart.
May Stacy’s memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Memorial Service will be held on January 10, 2026, from 03:00 to 04:30 pm at David Baptist Church 2300 David Baptist Church Road. Receiving of family and friends will be from 3 to 3:30 with a memorial after.
