Scott Doby

Scott Doby, aged 63, passed away on October 19th, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones. Born on
September 15th, 1961, Scott spent his early years in Appleton, Wisconsin, before moving to
North Carolina as a teenager. He leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth, survived by his
mother, Joyce Parthie, and his beloved children: Katherine Doby, Elizabeth Doby, and William
Doby. He is preceded by his father Thurman Doby and his brother Gregory Doby.
Scott was a dedicated father, a loyal friend, and a true lover of life. As a child and teenager, he
participated in rodeo, riding horses with the spirited enthusiasm that would define him. He loved
recounting his days in the ring and time with his friends while growing up in Wisconsin. He
cherished the simple joys of life, where he was the happiest in the company of his family and
friends, sharing laughter and heartfelt conversations. His warmth, humor, and unwavering
kindness touched the lives of all who knew him.
Scott will be deeply missed. A memorial service will be held at a later date, with more details to
come.
