Ronnie E. Bailey, II
Surrounded by love, family and his puppy dogs, Ronnie Bailey (55) left this world on November 8, 2025 and became restored to full health. He was greeted in Heaven by his adoring mother Shirley and his 2 sisters, Kim and Kelli.
Ronnie was the youngest child & only son born to Ron & Shirley Bailey. The family moved to Wallburg when Ronnie was a toddler. He was raised in Wallburg Baptist Church and graduated from Ledford High School & Forsyth Technical Community College. He married Katina in 1992 and they built a life of love, adventures and a few shenanigans, and they absolutely loved aggravating the fool out of each other. Together they had 33 years of marriage, several precious puppies, 2 homes, countless laughs & endless memories. Ronnie recently told Katina they really were the true definition of “better or worse, in sickness and in health”.
At a very young age Ronnie found a great love of the outdoors & began to develop countless hobbies. Ronnie loved the outdoors and to be in a duck blind (unless it was too cold or too early). He had the biggest heart for every dog he encountered. He became a private pilot just for fun. He had an amazing mechanical mind. He loved to be on a boat with a fishing rod. As he aged he found joy in teaching the next generation to fish, evidenced by his excitement in purchasing his niece Zoe & sweet Maggie their 1st fishing rods, and the only boat trips recently were for taking neighborhood kids to fish. Ronnie was certainly one-of-a-kind, an absolute character. He had an infectious smile and a heart of gold. When you met him you remembered him. And we are all better for it.
Along with Katina and their pups, here to cherish those memories & share Ronnie stories are his very special nephew Justin Craven (wife Ashley, great-nephew & niece Spencer & Anna Grace); his father Ron (wife Shirley); in-laws & a best friend Brian Brown (wife Teresa); very special Brother-in-laws: Jim Craven, Joshua Branson (wife Sara), Kristopher Brown (wife Jamie, niece & nephew Zoe & Bennett); his Best Friend & partner in crime Josh Stewart (wife Jennie, children Wyatt & Maggie); special friends David & Lori Jasnau (daughters Lindsey & Ashley), and an infinite list of people so very dear to Ronnie’s heart.
A service to celebrate and honor Ronnie will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2025 at 11:00am, Robinhood Road Baptist Church, 5422 Robinhood Road, Winston Salem. Everyone is welcome for fellowship & lunch following the service. In Ronnie’s memory, please take a kid fishing, adopt a puppy dog, hug your spouse a little tighter tonight.
Such an amazing friend with a beautiful legacy!! I was honored and blessed to have him in my life ❤️
Through the years I have known Ronnie a lot of memories have been made. He was married to my niece so there was a lot of holidays spent together and a some family trips. He had no problem making you laugh even toward the end. Ronnie will be truly missed and will always hold a special place in my heart.
My husband, two sons and I moved into their neighborhood five years ago in 2020, Ronnie and Katina both welcomed us in with open arms and genuinely loved us like family. Ronnie was the light and energy of this wonderful neighborhood. I will miss being outside as he rides by on his side by side, golf cart, lawn mower etc with his big ol grin yelling “heeeeey!” Or “crazy chick “. He was always offering to help or give, he and Katina both. We will miss you Ronnie and you will always be remembered through sharing funny stories of our crazy neighbor!
I’ve been blessed with many good friends, but only one Ronnie. He and I were supervisors, but truth be known we were usually the ones who probably needed the most supervision. Our friendship outlasted our time at Deere and so did the shenanigans. I’m a better person for having known Ronnie and a little wiser too. Thanks for everything Ronnie. Until we meet again…and you better save me some chips and salsa!
Bless his Eddie Griswold heart.
Ronnie was truly special.. you always knew where you stood with him… he made me laugh so much! He was a dear person to my heart…and I know the stories will continue when me meet again.. until then… dear friend I’ll cherish the memories and will meet you there❤️🙏
Ronnie was the biggest personality in the neighborhood. The 4th of July celebration will not be the same without him. Ronnie, thanks for being so kind and inviting. Our family will miss you. We’ll miss the sound of gunfire coming out the back when he was home.
Ronnie had the best laugh! His giggles would light up a room. Granted, it might have been at something slightly inappropriate. I’m so blessed to call him friend and his cheerfulness will remain in my heart.
When I moved into Wallburg and I started playing baseball I immediately met Ronny and Katina. I will say I thought it was kinda weird how these people I didn’t know much would come to are games and stuff but then when I started talking too them I loved them and Ronny was always a really funny guy but never knew how to not do somthing dumb he was like me a teenager he was a great guy and I loved him a lot. So thank you Ronny for everything you have done
I met Ronnie & Katina when I moved up here from Asheboro and opened my Grooming Shop from my home. When I met Katina she was an absolute Joy. She was from Trinity and so was I so we in my opinion was just alike in a lot of ways. Then I met Mr. Ronnie who I tell you what I absolutely adored him. He was a good man. He was so Funny. He was definitely a hoot. His Smile did truly light up the room. Him & Katina had and still have a Love Story that should inspire us all. Good people, Loved to help others and just about as genuine has you could get. I was honored to get to know them and there precious pets who where also absolutely AMAZING! They may of had a little CRAZY in them, but being they where there Daddy’s pups they got it Honest, but how I loved and still love them. I know Ronnie went to see Jackson as soon as he got to Heaven. He loved his boy. My husband thought a lot of him also. They had a couple of good conversations. He may be gone from this earth and I will miss him so much, but I know without a doubt he is with Jesus. We will all see him again soon. R.I.P. Ronnie. Until we meet again pal. ❤️ We Love You!!!

Ronnie was definitely one of the good guys and I’m proud to say he was my friend.
I’m so blessed to have known Ronnie briefly at the Wallburg Ballfield. He was always a welcome site for relief when working the gate at tournaments! It was always fun when he showed up! I know he’s in Heaven in that special place with our Lord and Savior! The place that we all hope to go! God bless you, Ronnie!
I knew Ronnie best when he was a teenager and his wonderful family lived across the street. My love and sympathy to Katina and the entire family.
All I know is Ronnie Bailey was one of the nicest funniest and well loved people to be around at any time of the day, super super super nice fella. I’m in disbelief right now, but like his wife said he’s definitely resting now and no more pain brother, RIP Ronnie, you will be missed by many love ya always.
Thank you, Ronnie, for being one of the best bosses I’ve ever had. Rest with the Lord—you deserve it.
