Robert Lenentine

1964 - 2025

Robert “Rob” Lenentine, 60, of Winston-Salem, NC, died peacefully on July 6, 2025, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home after facing cancer with courage and dignity.

Born July 31, 1964, in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, Rob was the fourth of five children of the late Charles T. and Sandra (Spearen) Lenentine.

A 1982 graduate of Choctawhatchee High School, Rob built a successful career in corporate retail management before earning a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Phoenix and pursuing graduate studies in taxation. He proudly served as a New Jersey firefighter, ran his own bookkeeping and accounting business for 18 years in New Jersey and Philadelphia, and later worked as Director of Accounting for KZ Services in Clemmons, NC, and staff accountant at Gilliam Bell Moser in Greensboro, NC.

Rob had a joyful spirit and a gift for putting others at ease. He was known for his kindness, warmth, and genuine interest in people. He often spoke fondly of his childhood on the Gulf Coast of Florida and time spent with friends and siblings.

A lifelong runner and avid sports fan, Rob also enjoyed carpentry and home improvement, approaching each project with creativity and care. Inspired by his father and brothers, he shared their love of airplanes, rockets, and space with his sons. He had a deep appreciation for music and the arts and loved attending concerts, dance, and theater with his partner and her daughters.

Rob is deeply missed by his partner, Michele Marchetti; her daughters, Anna Marchetti-O’Donnell (Spencer) and Lilith Marchetti; his sons, Stephen Lenentine, Jeffrey Lenentine (Jennilee), and William Lenentine, and their mother, Christine (Kuhn) Lenentine.; his siblings, sister, Katherine Thoreen (James); brothers, Charles “Lenny” Lenentine, Steven Lenentine (Victoria), and Jason Lenentine (Wendy); and their families. Rob was also blessed with many caring friends.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Comprehensive Cancer Center and to Trellis Supportive Care for their compassionate care.

A celebration of Rob’s life will be held in Fort Walton Beach, Florida, where family and friends will gather to honor his memory and the love and joy he brought into their lives.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the UNCSA School of the Arts Dance Discretionary Fund or to Home Moravian Church’s Moravian Ministries Foundation.
