Robert Edward Warner

1941 - 2024

Robert (Bob) Edward Warner, age 83 of Yadkinville, NC passed away at Forsyth
Medical Center on Tuesday, October 8th, 2024. He was born February 10, 1941 in
Winston-Salem, NC to the late Edward Gray and Ida Rosebelle Cody Warner. Robert
was the 7th of nine children. He was a stage 4 colon cancer survivor from 2014, and
had lived the rest of his life, in peace and good health, until just prior to being
hospitalized before his death.
Bob graduated from Gray High School in Winston-Salem and was a salesman by
trade. He was very proud of his time with Wrigley Chewing Gum, being a top sales
producer, traveling all over NC. He later worked in the Auto Parts Industry, supporting
his love for cars, motorcycles and building street rods. He was an accomplished wood
carver with a wonderful sense of humor that was reflected in his artwork. He was a
great story-teller and an avid outdoorsman all his life. He enjoyed his time outside on
his property the most, observing nature, calling in the crows or the turkeys, feeding the
deer and the squirrels, target shooting, gardening and working on his Willys Jeep. He
loved visiting family in the mountains and taking his granddaughter trout fishing.
He is survived by his daughter, Jill Warner of Hot Springs, NC; son Cody Warner and
four grandchildren; Ciara Warner, Hannah Groves, Seth and Alexandra Warner; and
one sister Charlotte Blackburn and husband Wade of Kernersville, NC.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by six of his sisters; Mattie Bowles,
Elizabeth (Louise) Smith, Minnie Beane, Betty Duncan, Annie Flowers, Laura Frances
Burrows, and his one brother Edward (Eddie) Warner.
A Memorial Service will be set for a later date to honor his life.
