Randolph (Randy) Robert Rivette
May 15, 1967 – November 13, 2025
Randy Robert Rivette, age 58, son of Donald Earl Rivette of Syracuse, NY and Carolyn Ann Brown Rivette of Baldwinsville, NY, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at his home in Winston-Salem, NC on Thursday, November 13, 2025. Randy Rivette of Fulton, NY was a graduate of G. Ray Bodley High School in Fulton, NY and the BOCES program. Randy served in the United States Navy from 1985-1989, where he served on the USS 1076 Fanning as a machinist. He went on to becoming a carpenter and then a remodeling expert mostly in the residential trade with commercial skills also running his business for over 10 years in the Las Vegas, NV area.
Randy left Las Vegas after his daughter was born and relocated to Southern Oregon for 3 years, where he bought a small farm and tavern. He did not care for that much and relocated to Winston-Salem, NC with his wife, Diana Lynn Rorick Rivette and their daughter, Crystal Lynn Rivette. He restarted a successful remodeling business in Winston-Salem, NC where he retired. He then built a house in Southern Virginia, with 33 acres and a close place to fish in the lake, which he loved.
I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast, I then most humbly pray. When in the Lord’s great landing net and peacefully asleep that in his mercy I be judged big enough to keep. Live to Fish.
Randy was an active member of the Moose Lodge for over 25 years in different states, as well as the American Legion and AMVETS.
Randy leaves behind his wife that he loved for over 32 years, Diana Lynn Rivette; daughter, Crystal Lynn Rivette; son in law, Joshua Todd Hayes; sister, Theresa (Rivette) Janushan, along with her husband, Austin Janushan, and son Mathew Janushan; nephew, Dustin Sherman, along with his wife, Samantha Sherman and three children, Miles, Luke, and Nora Sherman.
