Mae Elizabeth "Libby" Morgan (Larrimore)
1931 - 2025
Mae Elizabeth “Libby” Morgan, 93, of Westfield, passed away, Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem.
Ninety-three years ago, God sent one of his special ones to Bill and Phoebe Larrimore of Walkertown. Affectionately known as Lib, her mission in life was to bring joy and comfort to others. Unfortunately, five years ago dementia came to live with Lib and her joy slowly disappeared. She and her beloved husband, Steve, spent fifty years together and lived on Sauratown Mtn, one of her GREATEST joys with Little CeCe.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Steve Stewart and her sister, Betsy Bertolino.
Left to cherish her memory and to carry on her legacy, she passes the torch to our daughter, Stephanie Goddard and husband Scott; two grandsons, Travis and Jake of Advance; niece, Sue Ruddy and husband Brian of Michigan; and nephew Bill Bertolino and wife Bonnie of Clearwater FL.
A celebration of life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, May 31, 2025, at Lib and Steve’s home.
We wish to thank Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home and Trellis Supportive Care for the superior care shown to Lib.
Lib go REST HIGH on that MOUNTAIN
Steve, so sad for your loss. You will be in my prayers as you seek solace, in the beauty of your surroundings
I only had the pleasure to know Lib for a few years. Lib and I shared lots of conversations on many subjects. What a joy she was! Rest in peace dear friend. It was an honor to have known you!
Lib was always a joy to be around. She was full of love, smiles, and caring when around her. She carried a special place in her heart for everyone she knew and met. Lib loved Steve and all of her little 4 legged children to the moon and back! She will be a blessed memory for the rest of my days and I’m sure we’ll see each other in Heaven again someday where we will Worship our Lord together. What a blessed life Lib lived and what an example of how to love others! ❤️❤️
Mama Lib as we lovingly called her, was more like family, than friend. She always wore a beautiful, loving smile, and her hugs were a welcome mat to her heart and home. To know her was to love her, and she will never be forgotten. We will remember our time with her always, and think of Lib every time we look over the mountain.
