Lorraine Flagler Lail (Lori) 74 of Walnut Cove passed away peacefully in her home on April 2nd 2026 at 3:12 PM with her daughters Dawn Lail and Kimberly Stephens by her side. Lori was Born on September 25th 1951 in West palm beach, FL. Lori was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, friend and second mother to many of her children’s friends. Her Children and Grandchildren were the light of her life. Lori enjoyed Gardening and took pride in the beautiful Roses and almost always perfect Tomatoes she grew. She spent most of her days with her Beloved Dogs Minnie and Peanut. Lori worked in customer service in town between Crosscreek apparel, The Gant and CVS Pharmacy for more than 20 years, She never met a stranger and could always put a smile on faces, but was also quick to scold. Tough love was one of her many languages. She was there for many when in need, whether it be a shoulder to cry on a conversation or a simple laugh. Lorraine is survived by her daughters, Hope Hanner Boyles(Wesley”Wes “Boyles), Jessie Francis Reagan, Dawn Irene Lail (James “Mikeyy”Herring Sr.), Kimberly Lail Stephens (Chad Stephens); her Grandchildren, William D. Cornelius Jr, Christopher Ray Cornelius, Justin Dean Cornelius, Ayden Lee Boles, Kathryn Amanda Reagan-East, Myah Elizabeth Herring, Hailey Marie Herring, James Micheal Herring Jr., Autumn Nicole Skye Priest, Bentley Alexander Duggins, Skylar Raylnn Lail-Stephens, Gemma Reign Stephens; great-grandchildren, Lincoln Willard, Benjamin Cornelius, Sophia Cornelius, Bella Cornelius, Elena Cornelius and Thomas Cornelius. Preceded in death by her Father, Earl George Flagler, Mother Dorothy Mae Conroy, Husband Thomas Webster”Chico” Lail and Lifelong Partner James Ray “Bo” Greer. Family will plan for a small celebration of life at a later date.
She was an amazing soul and will be missed so much. You are all in my thoughts and prayer. Love you

Aunt Lori was a wonderful aunt to me and I will always remember her in all of her great work as a aunt and a wonderful mother to her children and a wonderful grandma to her grandchildren.She was a loving and caring person to everyone around her and would always put her family first.Aunt Lori you will be missed dearly,but you will always have a special place in my heart always.Im just sorry that I didn’t get to see you more or say goodbye to you before you left this world.I will always remember you as a wonderful and loving aunt.I Love & Miss You.Gone But Not Forgotten!Fly High With The Angels My Sweet Loving Aunt.You can rest peacefully now,cause you are in God’s hands now.
