Lesley Joanne Tipton (Kippen)
1965 - 2021
Lesley was born on April the 4th 1965 in Newmarket, Suffolk England to James Donald and Josephine Kippen. She has two siblings, Lisa Kippen Deymonaz and David Kippen.
Lesley married Kevin Tipton on October the 10th 1987 in Lakenheath, Suffolk England. They have three children, James Adam Tipton, Hannah Victoria Boydston, Emily Grace Tipton and son-in-law Brandon Boydston.
Lesley died on November the 12th 2021 and is survived by many aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and in-laws. She is also mourned by so many friends and co-workers.
Lesley trained as an RN in England and worked there until moving to the USA with Kevin in 1990. She continued her nursing career here until her death. Lesley loved nature and animals of all sorts, especially our dog Ellie, a lovely girl we rescued while living in Asheville. Lesley loved football, Manchester United was our team and of course the England national team. One of Lesley’s most loved things was tea. She drank 12-20 cups of PG Tips each day, it was her go to for everything. Lesley was passionate about peace and kindness and never could understand all the hate in the world, she would ask “why can’t we all just get along?” I could never give her an answer to that. In almost every picture you see of Lesley in the past 5 years you would see a shirt expressing peace, kindness, love or nature. She loved to travel and explore new places, enjoying the beauty all around us. When Kevin was diagnosed with cancer over 3 years ago she was shattered. Our lives forever changed, she challenged the cancer, finding all the information she could to pursue the best doctors and find the best treatments. She was my advocate and my strength and 3 years later I am still here as a testament to her diligence.
I honestly cannot express in words the loss and emptiness that I feel. Lesley was truly a shining light to her friends and family. My world is forever shattered by the loss of my best friend, my confidante, my caregiver and my soul mate.
All my Love forever my darling.
Lesley will be cremated and then flown back to England for services and burial in Lakenheath England. She will then be near her grandparents and Uncle Ray who preceded her in death.
