Johnny Lee Johnson

Mr. Johnny Lee Johnson, Sr., was born on May 16,1968 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina to Earlie and Linda Johnson. He passed away peacefully surrounded by family on May 24, 2024 after an extended period of illness. Johnny graduated and played football at Carver High School. He was an avid Washington Commander fan.

Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Linda Johnson.

He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife, Clayton Lee Scales Johnson; seven loving children, Johnny Johnson, Jr., Tynisha Joyce, Rayona Johnson, Jarod Johnson, Quentin (Noel), Scales, Jamal Scales, and Brandon Scales; three precious grandchildren, Tahiri Muhammad, Jamir Johnson and Sienna Scales; his loving father Earlie Johnson; loving and caring siblings Earl Johnson, Veronica Johnson and Rachelle Johnson. Also, mourning Johnny’s loss is host of uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins; in-laws, Hunter (Sharlena) Hill, Rickey (Jean) Scales, Barbara Ackers and Brenda Ervin; A special uncle, Michael Carpenter; an inherited grandson, Cameron Cuthrell; Special lifetime friends, Lisa Simpson and Lisa Roseboro and a host of friends.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
