James Wesley Price
1938 - 2025
James Wesley Price, 87, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2025. Born on June 1, 1938 in Johnston County, North Carolina, Wes was the son of the late Vaden and Mary Raines Price. He proudly served in the United States Navy.
In addition to his parents, Wes was preceded in death by his first wife, Sue Glover Price (d. 2009) and his brother, Wallace Price.
He is survived by his loving wife, Jackie Raynor Price; children, Dawn (Bobby) Vaughan, Tony (Jennifer) Price, and Gina (Eric) Norris; stepchildren, Tracey (Ken) Florence and Jeff (Darlene) Caviness; grandchildren, Christen (Joe) McCormick, Leah (Matt) Hallsey, Anna (Riley) Willetts, Meredith (Nishant) Patel, Ashley Norris (Chalen), Josie (Jordan) Click, Katie Price, Joshua (Alley) Norris, Christian Norris (Ellen) and bonus grandchildren Robert Caviness and Anna Caviness (Connor); ten great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren on the way; and other special family and friends.
A family gathering to celebrate his life is planned.
