Edward Lentz
1942 - 2024
On Friday, July 5,2024, Edward Lentz, loving husband and father of two children passed away at the age of 81.
Edward was born July 10,1942 in Highland, Ks. To Boliver and Mary Alice Lentz.
Edward served in the US Navy from 1960 to 1966.
On December 17, 1963 he married Rena Ruth Rushing, they raised a son, Michael Edward and a daughter Karen Ruth Lentz.
Edward worked for Stroh’s Brewery in Winston-Salem, NC and at the Stroh’s plant in St. Paul, MN.
He retired from Gold Kist in Sumter, SC. And finished out his work at Wal-Mart followed by Herbalife in Winston=Salem. NC
Edward had a passion for sports, especially UNC Tarheel basketball. His knowledge of the game was amazing.
Edward was preceded in death by his father, Boliver and his mother, Mary Alice.
He is survived by his wife, Ruth, his two children, Michael Lentz of Sacramento, CA. and his daughter Karen Lentz of Oakdale, MN.
His grandchildren, John, Sarah, and Joe of Oakdale, MN and his brother, Warren and wife Betsy Lentz of Pass Christian, MS.
