1963 - 2024

Edward (Tony) A. Legg, Jr., aged 61, passed away on November 2, 2024, in Walnut Cove, NC. Born on January 25, 1963, in Oak Hill, WV Tony spent his life dedicated to kindness, family, and a deep love for animals.
Tony graduated from Oak Hill High School in 1981. Also a graduate of Fayette Plateau Technical Education Center. He built a career as an Electronics Repair Technician, working primarily with Audio Video Repair Company and several other electronics repair companies. He also served as an Assistant Manager at McDonald’s in his early adulthood.
Tony was a passionate animal lover, often dreaming of opening an animal rescue if he ever won the lottery. His hobbies included watching science fiction movies, playing video games, and spending quality time with his dogs. He cherished traveling to the beach and visiting family and friends in West Virginia whenever his health allowed.
He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Patricia (Patti) Legg; sister, Penny Edwards; nieces, Courtney Edwards, Jessica Edwards and Tiffany Carter, nephews, Michael Edwards, Shawn Carter, Jason Carter; and several aunts and uncles.
Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Edward A. Legg, Sr., Loretta Epperly Legg, and his sister, Dianna Jones Carter.
Per his wishes, Tony chose to be cremated, and there will be no formal services. A celebration of life will be held in the spring to honor his memory. Contributions in memory of Tony can be made to Friends of the Stokes Shelter, 1111 Dodgetown Road, Walnut Cove, NC 27052, supporting his love for animals.

    Tony was my cousin and friend. We both loved spooky movies and animals. Have great memories of our family in West Virginia! I will miss our texts on facebook and messages. Will always be in my heart.
