Eddie Ray Spivey

Eddie Ray Spivey,71, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025 at Forsyth Hospital.
  
Preceding him in death are his Parents, Noah and Margaret Spivey, his brother, Marty
and his sister, Judy Spivey Fake. Surviving are his two daughters, Christina Martinez
and Dreama Spivey as well as a sister, Rita Maugle.

Also, there are two grandchildren, Maria Martinez and Austin Martinez both of whom
Eddie loved with all his heart and he was so proud of them. There are several nieces
and nephews and one special nephew, Ronald Jones, and wife Lindley, who have
tended to Eddie’s every need during his declining health over the last several months. 
 
Eddie lived a very eventful life and enjoyed every minute of it.  Everyone who knew
Eddie loved him.  He was a loyal friend who loved cooking for his friends and family.  He
really enjoyed having people in his home where he would grill pork chops, and make
chili beans, which was his specialty.  He made the best cornbread and often took his
sister many cast iron frying pans full and anyone else who requested it.  He was very
generous and loved to joke around.

Lastly, Eddie had a miniature poodle named Sonny for many years who went
everywhere with him.  Sonny now resides with Ronald and Lindley where he is treated
like a little Prince.
We will miss Eddie, but he is at peace now in the presence of many family members. 
We will keep him in our hearts until we meet again.

A private gathering to honor his life will be held at a later date.
