Drusilla Felicia Petit Westall

1950 - 2024

Drusilla (Dru) Felicia Petit Westall, 74, passed peacefully in Winston-Salem, NC on December 10, 2024 with her children at her side. Dru was born March 6, 1950 in Asheville, NC to Quentin and Evelyn Petit.

A graduate of Lee H. Edwards High School in Asheville, she worked in bookkeeping/accounting for companies big and small, even running her own business for a stretch. Throughout her life, she called many cities home, but Juneau, Alaska held the most special place in her heart and memories.

Dru will be dearly missed by her son, Stuart Westall, and his wife Spirit; her daughter, Holly Lee, and her husband David; her grandchildren Logan, Eian & William Westall and Lillith Westall Buck (Phil) and Matthew & Ethan Lee; her great-grandson Kalel Buck; her nieces Nicole, Julianna, Jenny and nephews Josh and Justin; her sister-in-law Pam; and many relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, John and Quentin Jr.

While her physical independence was limited by chronic lung disease in recent years, Dru’s fiercely independent spirit persisted. She loved her family and was a supportive presence in all their undertakings. She enjoyed sharing conversation with friends, savoring a good coffee, seeing new places, and watching NFL football.

Dru’s community spans the country, so per her request, no funeral or memorial service will be held. In loving memory of Dru, we invite donations to the American Lung Association.

Drusilla was my cousin and even though we did not get to see each other a lot in our adult years growing up we had the best of times together. We were blessed to have her in our life. She will always hold a special place in my heart! I know the celebration in heaven is going on with her brothers and parents and others that passed before her. She will surely missed by our family! Love and prayers to her family! Remember the good times!
