Colon Victor “Vic” Davidson, 78, of Winston-Salem, passed away peacefully on Monday night, March 24, 2025, at Brookstone Retirement Home, where he had resided for the past nine months.
A service to celebrate Vic’s life will be held at 2:00 PM, on Sunday, April 6, 2025, at Salem Funeral & Cremation Service, 120 S. Main St. Winston-Salem, NC 27101.
He was born on May 20,1946, in Asheboro, North Carolina, to the late Colon and Jacquelyn Davidson.
Vic was raised in Asheboro and attended Asheboro High School. He took off from Asheboro to serve in the United States Navy. After his tour of military service, he came to the Winston-Salem area to build a life and career. He worked as a plumber for over 40 years, earning the nickname “Vic the Plumber” and gaining the friendship of many along the way. Vic had a warm and giving heart, known for his one-of-a-kind sense of humor, and generous spirit. Vic was a proud papa to his granddaughters. Vic had a passion for fishing and loved the peacefulness of the water. He was also known for his love of baking, often whipping up something sweet for his customers, friends and family. His presence brought warmth and joy to all who knew him, and his legacy of kindness and devotion will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
In addition to his parents, Vic was preceded in death by his son, Scott Davidson.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife of 55 years, Sue Davidson; daughter, Jennifer Moffitt, and her husband, Scott; brother, Terry Davidson, and family; granddaughters, Laci and Lindy Davidson, as well as the mother of his granddaughters.
He may be gone, but his love, laughter, and legendary generosity will never be forgotten.
