1959 - 2025
Mr. Charles Wayne Montgomery of Ararat, VA, passed away Friday, May 16, 2025 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home.
Mr. Montgomery was born May 31,1959 in Patrick County, VA, one of nine children born to the late Warren and Gertrude Mabe Montgomery. He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Patty Montgomery; son Christopher Smith; daughter, Brandy Sawyer and two grandchildren, Jackson Lane, his hero and Bailey Faith, his baby girl, and his special cat Sonny Lane.
He is survived by three sisters and a brother-in-law, Mary Ayers, Ardith and Wayne Maxwell, and Margaret Page; one brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Andra Montgomery; several nieces and nephews and a special niece, Michelle Smith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Montgomery was preceded in death by three brothers, Warren “Sonny” Montgomery, Jr., James Bernard Montgomery, Harry Dale Montgomery and one sister Debra “Debbie” Montgomery.
A special thanks to Woltz Hospice Home for making us feel like family and his daughter Brandy who stood by his side.
No service will be held per Mr Montgomery’s request.
