I fell in Love with Bobby’s daughter Lanae…what I did not anticipate was falling in love with Bobby too! People don’t always remember what you say, but they remember how you make them feel, and Bobby made me feel so welcome in his home. He called me Brockster! I was just 17 and we would go golfing, grill, hang out, and being around him was a fun time. He would bring home Chinese Food, Mexican, or Dockside seafood on the regular. A generous soul, he would cut my hair and never let me pay. I will never forget stirring up the courage to meet him at his house and ask permission to Marry Lanae, it made me feel like a man. I love you Bobby, may your light shine through your daughter, grandkids and great grandkids. Love you, Brockster!

In my earliest years Bobby was my next door neighbor and was like a 2nd father to me during those formative years. I have countless memories of late night Aggravation games (way past my bedtime), watching ACC basketball games, and just hanging out and laughing at all of Bobby’s crazy antics. He was truly one of a kind and simply one of those people that ALWAYS made you smile. His personality was beyond infectious and was always the life of every party and the light of every room. I attended my very first concert with my Dad and Bobby when I was about 10yo out at Farmington dragway, July 4th. We saw Charlie Daniels tear through every bow in his bag that night and will remain another memory shared with Bobby that will be with me forever. He cut my hair until well after college, which always gave us a great chance to catch up and stay in touch. I only wish I could laugh with him one more time while we talk about how he slept through the race the day before. See you on the other side Bobby. Your spirit will forever be missed down here. Love you man! ❤️
