Anne Driscoll Laivins
1970 - 2025
Anne Lenore Driscoll Laivins, 55, of High Point, passed away, Friday, November 14, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family, after a hard-fought battle with ovarian cancer.
Born, January 26, 1970, in Columbus, Ohio to the late Robert Eugene Driscoll and Charlotte Ann Driscoll. She attended Columbus Christian School and Liberty Christian School, for her senior year, then went to college at Ohio State University and earned a bachelor’s in psychology. On January 2, 1993, she married the love of her life, Kenneth Laivins, they shared 31 years together.
Anne spent many joyful years dancing on the church dance team at New Albany Christian Church. She was deeply proud to homeschool Josiah and Emily, staying closely involved in their homeschool groups. Teaching Latin brought her great joy, as did the mom’s night outs she shared with her community of homeschool moms. Anne had a beautiful gift with words. She loved guiding her children through English and writing, and she created many cherished poems that celebrated special moments in the lives of her family members.
Anne was deeply involved at Mercy Hill Church, especially cherishing her Wednesday night small group. She served on the planning committee for the Daughters of the American Revolution as their decor coordinator for events. Most importantly she was there for her family to help at a minute’s notice with a task or simply be a companion on a road trip. It did not matter what the activity was she would happily accept.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Kenneth Laivins; mother, Charlotte Ann Driscoll; daughter, Emily Shoffner (Christopher); son, Josiah Laivins; granddaughter, Anne Shoffner; and siblings, Karen Shafer, Rick Driscoll, Timothy Driscoll, Judith Fahy, Robert Driscoll.
A celebration of Anne’s life will be held at 11:00 AM, November 22, 2025, at Mercy Hill Church, Ridge Campus, 1317 Pleasant Ridge Road, Greensboro, NC 27409. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God; being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, for all endurance and patience with joy; giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in light. He has delivered us from the domain of darkness and transferred us to the kingdom of his beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins. – Colossians 1:9-14
My beautiful baby sister….
She was a blessing to us all. 🤍
