Billy Bryan Medlin
1927 - 2025
Upon graduating from Gray High School Bill joined the U. S. Navy in June 1946. After serving in the Navy he was employed by McLean Trucking keeping tire records until the company closed.
Following his tour of duty; he met the love of his life Annie Mozelle Jones at Charles Roller Rink, Reynolds Park. They were married 10 September 1949; as the first marriage in the new Sanctuary of Love’s United Methodist Church.
He was predeceased by his wife Annie Mozelle Jones Medlin and their son Joseph Von Medlin and by his parents Percy Bryan Medlin and Ila Exie Pittman Medlin; his sisters Ila Louise Medlin Bitsolli and husband Jimmy; Velma Medlin; Rosalie Medlin Wilson and husband Harrison; Cathleen Medlin; Marie Medlin Woodlief & husband James; Alberta Medlin Harpe and husband John; Darlene Medlin; brother Jack Lawrence Medlin and wife Anne Marie Wooters Medlin.
He is survived by his son Bryan and wife Kitty Tulbert Medlin; grandsons David Clark Medlin and wife Valerie Huff Medlin and their son William Clark Medlin; Zachary Bryan Medlin and wife Allyson Goins Medlin and son Nolan Bryan Medlin and Adam Brett Medlin and Anna Collett and daughter Ruby Grace Medlin; his sister Pearle Jeanne Medlin Welch; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bill was instrumental in bringing Love’s into the computer age as well as keeping meticulous records for the cemetery. In February of 2024 he was recognized for his service.
A memorial service will be held at Love’s United Methodist Church in Walkertown on January 3rd 2026 at 1pm with Pastor Rick LeBaube and Pastor Sandra Ireson officiating.
Visitation with the family will be thirty minutes prior to the service in the sanctuary. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made Love’s United Methodist Church cemetery fund.
