Jimmy W. Purgason
1953 - 2026
Jimmy W. Purgason, 73, of Kernersville, NC, went home to be with our Good Lord on October 24th at Baptist Hospital. He was born October 2nd, 1953, to John Fletcher and Virginia Thompson Purgason in Rockingham County. He was a proud Army Veteran and retired from Tyco after 30 years of service.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Arden Yates Purgason, and three sons, Jeff, Eric, Brian Varner, and daughter, Brittany Buchanan. Granddaughters Madison Varner, Jillian Varner, and Bella Jarvis. Grandsons Weston, Hunter (Paige), and Ashton Varner.
Precious great-grands, Sydney, Gideon, Kayden, Poppy, Neagan, and coming soon, Virginia.
Also left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Sandy Pegg, Brenda Hancock (Ronnie), Jean Parrish (Junior), Pat Barringer (Jerry), and many special nieces and nephews.
Service will be held on October 30th, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Deep River Friends Meeting House in High Point, NC.

Am lost of words 💔 Jimmy was truly loved by everyone around him he was a amazing person and brother in law that I truly adore he had a heart of gold but he lefted us to soon may he rest in peace 🙏 I will always love him we’ll see each other again someday ❤️
