Carolyn Ann Haiman (1944-2026)
Carolyn Haiman, beloved mother, grandmother, sister and friend, 82, of Winston-Salem, NC left her earthly home and entered her eternal home in Heaven on October 20, 2026. While her passing leaves a great void with her family and loved ones, we know she is forever in the presence of Jesus–free from pain and suffering–and now rests in perfect peace, surrounded by everlasting joy and the boundless love of her Savior.
Carolyn was born in Salem, Illinois in 1944 to Edgar and Mary Courtney. She graduated from Round Lake High School in Round Lake, Illinois. She was very proud to have been a member of the R-Lettes drill team while in high school. Carolyn attended the College of Lake County while she was raising her young family and took many business courses, mostly focusing on bookkeeping. She spent most of her career working as a bookkeeper for many different companies in both Illinois and North Carolina.
Carolyn loved her family and always looked forward to spending time with them. She loved doing many different crafts, but her favorite was sewing. She also enjoyed square dancing and all the friends she made while participating. She was a very social person and always seemed to make friends wherever she went. She had a smile that could light up a room.
Carolyn was a devoted mother to daughter Kimberly Bradfield (Robert McIlree), Winston-Salem, NC; her son William Molidor (Julie), Aiken, SC; and her stepdaughter Lara Haiman (Ted Ellingson), Rockford, Illinois. She was very proud to have grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved them deeply: Ryan Molidor (Natalie) and daughters Evelyn and Avery, Burlington, WI; Rachael Majetka (Zachary) and son William, Firestone, CO; Mitchell Molidor, Aiken, SC; Madeline Molidor, Aiken, SC and step-grandchildren Tyler Carlston (Victoria) and son Graham, Kaysville, Utah, Nathanial Carlston, Schaumburg, Illinois and Spencer (Maegen) Bradfield, Middletown, Ohio.
She also leaves behind loving siblings Joyce Pringle (Bud), Kernersville, NC, Steve Courtney, Manchester, TN, Tina Koeller (Kevin), Winston-Salem, NC and sister-in-law Connie Courtney, Walkertown, NC.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Howard Courtney and Gwen Humphrey.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the dedicated staff at The Southwood Assisted Living Facility as well as Mountain Valley Hospice Supportive Care for their unwavering compassion, dignity, support and love provided to Carolyn and her family.
A Celebration of Carolyn’s Life will take place later at her home church, Main Street United Methodist Church in Kernersville, NC and we hope to be able to livestream it.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes memorial donations to either The Southwood Assisted Living Facility or Mountain Vally Hospice Supportive Care in honor of Carolyn Haiman.
