Carolyn Denise Spicer Warren
June 3, 1972 – October 9, 2026
Carolyn Denise Spicer Warren, born June 3, 1972, in Wilkes County, North Carolina, passed away on October 9, 2026. She was born to Melvin Spicer and the late Wilma Jean Spicer.
Carolyn’s life was filled with love, deep family bonds, and memories that will forever be cherished by those who knew her. She was preceded in death by the love of her life, David Warren, of Smithfield, North Carolina. Together, Carolyn and David built a loving home and began what they believed would be their happily ever after. When David fell ill with cancer, Carolyn remained faithfully by his side, caring for him and loving him until he took his last breath. Their love was a special part of Carolyn’s life, and his memory remained close to her heart.
One of Carolyn’s most treasured relationships was the extraordinary bond she shared with her late grandmother, Marie P. Cole. Carolyn was always the light of her grandmother’s eye, and many nights during her childhood, she could be found tucked safely into her grandmother’s bed. Their unbreakable bond was one of a kind, built on a love and closeness that would remain a precious part of Carolyn’s story throughout her life.
Carolyn leaves behind three beloved daughters: Sierra Holbrook Billings and her husband, Tyler, of Ennice, North Carolina; and Zoe Warren and Delilah Warren, both of the home in Roaring River, North Carolina.
Her love for her daughters will remain a lasting part of their lives and memories. She also dearly loved her granddaughters, Raelynn Marie and Oaklynn Ann Billings, and enjoyed sharing cookies with them whenever she visited. These sweet moments will forever be treasured by those who loved her.
She is also survived by her sister, Stephanie Spicer York (Amber), of Elkin, North Carolina; her brother and best friend, Buddy Spicer, of Roaring River, North Carolina; her niece, Madison Munson, of Elkin, North Carolina; and her special friend, Jennifer Clonch, of Ronda, North Carolina.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her brother, Von Mayberry.
Though Carolyn’s passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved her, the memories she created, the bonds she treasured, and the love she gave will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her life and the love she shared will never be forgotten.
