David Markham Dalton
1955 - 2026
David Markham Dalton,71, of Danbury, NC passed away April 21,2026 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC following a heart attack.
David was born March 23, 1955 in Winston-Salem ,NC to Craig and Ella Mae Dalton. He attended Reynolds High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill graduating with a degree in Radio, Television and Motion Pictures. In 1992 he received an MBA degree from Wake Forest University.
David turned his love of photography and videography into a lifelong career.He worked in TV news at WPTF-TV in Durham,NC and then worked at WXII-TV in Winston-Salem for thirteen years.He next worked for James A.Fyock & Associates until he founded his own production company, Blue Water Media, in partnership with his sister in-law, Theresa Rossi Dalton.His talent in videography and editing and her writing and production skills created many wonderful programs and productions over the years.These included “Maximum Marine” which aired on the Speedvision channel and “Cruising Carolina” and “Flavor NC” which aired for many seasons on UNC-TV. David loved being creative and his photography and videography are a testament to this and his legacy.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Kyle, his brother Craig G. Dalton and many loving nieces and nephews.
We will all dearly miss his wry sense of humor, the sparkle in his eyes and great smile.
