Keyaira Amanda West

1991 - 2026

Keyaira “Mandy” Amanda West passed away at her childhood home in Winston-Salem, N.C on March 18, 2026.
Mandy was born on May 14, 1991 to Michael G. West and the late Robin M. Taylor. She was raised by her loving grandmother Patricia Coleman. Mandy was the daughter Pat never had. Pat showered Mandy with love and affection her entire life, and it showed.
Mandy was the apple of her Daddy’s eye. Even during her rebellious years, he was always there to love and support her in any way. Her step-mother Barbara (known as the “enforcer” by Mandy in her early years) had many trying years but has bonded and was proud of the life path Mandy had found.
Mandy’s greatest accomplishments in life were her three children.
Dakota – The one who called her mom first
Sammy – her only daughter, her mini me
Bently – her baby boy…
Mandy loved her kids with all her heart and was proud of each of them. She cherished every moment she had with them. “She will be gone from their sight, but never from their hearts.”
Mandy was encouraged in her life journey by her Uncle Jeff and Aunt Dee. Jeff was one of her favorite people, she always looked at him as a second father. Mandy also left behind four sibilngs: Tony, Marshall, Bradley, and Stephanie.
Mandy spent her last five years sharing adventure and companionship with her loving partner Al Floyd. The two have known each other since they were young, having the chance to grow, experience life and love one another. A childhood crush turned into true love.
Mandy was a social butterfly, who loved to spread her wings. She had an enormous amount of friends from every walk of life. Mandy was a compassionate and loyal friend to many. She excelled at her career in sales because she honestly enjoyed engaging with her customers. In the 34 years Mandy was with us, she touched numerous lives and will be truly missed.

    Forever loved, forever missed
    Forever in our hearts…
    I’m Free….
Don’t grieve for me, for now I’m free
I’m following the path God has chosen for me.
I took His hand when I heard Him call
I turned my back and left it all.
I could not stay another day, To laugh, to love, to work or play.
Tasks left undone must stay that way I’ve now found peace at the end of day.
If my parting has left a void, Then fill it with remembered joys.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss Oh yes, these things, I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow Look for the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I savored much Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch.
Perhaps my time seems all to brief
Don’t lengthen your pain with undue grief.
Lift up your heart and peace to thee, God wanted me now – He set me free.
