JACQUELINE ELIZABETH HOOD-WILSON

First Breath: October 10, 1944        Last Smile: December 6, 2025

    Jacqueline Elizabeth Hood-Wilson of 5068 Lansing Drive, Winston-Salem, NC was born on October 10, 1944 to the late Elzora and Johnny Hood.  She was preceded into eternal life by her husband (Louis Cal Wilson, Sr.), son (Louis Cal Wilson, Jr.), mother, father, sisters (Earline, Diane), and brothers (Thomas, Johnny).

Affectionately known as “Jackie”, she attended the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools, graduating from Atkins High School.

Jackie, while being a full-time wife and mother, worked at Taco Bell and Burger King before being employed thru the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County School System, where she worked until her health caused her to retire. She continued doing what she loved the most, praising and worshipping God.

She was a faithful member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church most of her life, serving on the Usher Board for many years. Upon leaving Galilee, she moved her faith and worship to Bethlehem Holiness Church. She was received, loved and accepted with open arms and began to serve on the Usher board and later became a church mother. She was a member of the Kimberly Park Senior’s Club and Rupert Bell Club.

Mother Jackie entered into eternal rest on December 6, 2025.  She leaves to cherish her memories, her two sons Quincy (Bonus daughter-Chante’) Wilson, of Mocksville, NC, and James Wilson of Winston-Salem, NC. Four grandchildren, Antwone (Jashaun) Rowans, of Atlanta, Ga., Jasmin (Le’ Courtney) Murphy, of Salisbury, NC, Le’ Bryant (Faith) Gaffney, of Troutman, NC, and Quincy Wilson, Jr., of Mocksville, NC; Five great grandchildren, all of Salisbury, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Three sisters, Dorothy (James) Mitchell, Beatrice Goodwin and Sylvia (Ben, Sr.) Coleman.
