Bobby Wayne Hill was born on May 26, 1951, and passed away on January 27, 2026, at the age of 74. He was a native of Stokes County, North Carolina.
Bobby proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. Following his service, he built a life centered on hard work, community, and simple living. For decades, he owned and operated Shear Performance in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he was known not only as a skilled barber, but as a man who truly loved conversation. Bobby was witty, humorous, and generous, with an easy way of making people feel welcome in his chair.
He cherished the simple life and found joy in meaningful conversations and everyday moments.
Bobby is survived by his daughter, Lanae Hill Agee (Brock); his grandchildren, Owen Brock Agee (Hunter Kate), Mason Tyler Agee, and Brooklyn Faith Agee; and his great-grandchildren, Elsie May Agee and Vallie Capri Agee. He is also survived by his siblings, Betty Hill Smith, Billy Joe Hill (Helen), Elizabeth Hill Bowen (Curtis), and Sandra Hill Parker (Tom).
In accordance with his wishes, Bobby will be cremated. The immediate family will conduct a private celebration of his life in honor of his memory.
He will be remembered for his humor, his kindness, and the quiet way he touched the lives of those who knew him.
