He left us laughter—

And that may be the greatest gift of all.

When days feel heavy,

We’ll remember his smile,

And laugh a little louder,

Because of him.

TIMOTHY LEVON HAIRSTON, 61, was born on October 13, 1964, in Forsyth County, North Carolina, to the late Lester and Sadie Hairston.

He was preceded in death by one brother Stanley Hairston

After graduating from Parkland High School, he attended Forsyth Technical Community College, where he earned a degree in Electrical Installation.

He was a dedicated employee of Dynasty Furniture for over 25 years until declining health.

Affectionately known as Bodie Rush, he was a comedian at heart and was truly blessed with the gift of gab.

He leaves to cherish dear memories his beloved son, Timothy Levon Hairston Jr. (Shannon) of Summit, New Jersey. He is also survived by his former wife, Tracey Monique Williams

He is also survived by his siblings: Iris McCree of Winston-Salem, NC; Lester Hairston Jr. of Houston, TX; Steve (Valerie) Hairston of Winston-Salem, NC; and Michael (Michelle) Hairston of High Point, NC.

He is further survived by his aunts, Andrea Hairston of New York and Pat Hairston; his uncle, Raymond Salvage of Winston-Salem, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. He also leaves one devoted best friend, Arthur Davis.

He will be greatly missed, and Bodie Rush will remain in our hearts forever.
