Phil, Carol and Spencer have been our friends at Raccoon Holler for ten years. We always looked forward to spending time with them. Seeing them drive around on their red golf cart – they always stopped to say hi. Phil was always happy to help out loaning tools, experience and knowledge. We loved sitting by his fire and watching football. Just a great family. Thank you God for Phil. Bless his family as they adjust to life without his physical presence knowing he is with you in heaven.

Where do I start; such a great guy first and foremost and truly a professional in every sense of the word. He was definitely instrumental in my progression at Southern Community and as we got to know each other we had so much in common and became great friends! I’ll miss our monthly meet ups and talks of our respective grand kids. His devotion to family and Church was inspirational. So long good buddy; you will be greatly missed!!

Phil will be long remembered as a loyal friend to many, a wise counsel to the fortunate, and for his courage. His greatest legacy, however, will always be his Family.
    Rest in Peace, Brother.

Phil was a great friend, colleague, and mentor to me and so many others. I enjoyed spending time with him in the office where he always gave me great advice and also during the many lunches we had at Red Lobster where we got to know each other outside of work.

I’ll miss seeing Phil at Mass each week where we always shook hands or fist bumped as I passed his pew.

I’ll look forward to seeing him again one day where I can say “Go Gators!”

Phil was both a mentor and a great friend during my transition into banking. He guided me with patience and wisdom, teaching me not only the “hows” of banking but also the “whys.” He always made time for questions and helped shape my banking career. I truly enjoyed our lunches over the years at Southern Community, learning something new at each one.

Carol, Heather, and family—our prayers are with you. Phil’s love and pride in his family always shone brightly.

We have been friends with Phil and Carol ever since they got the lot in front of us on snob hill at the campground. Me and Phil were always trying to get one up on each other. He always had a chuckle when I would ask him how his lizards were doing. We are really going to miss seeing him and Carol at the holler. Our love and prayers are with Carol and the family. I’ll miss you brother.
