Chad Wooten
1974 - 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Chad Wooten, 50, of Lexington, NC, on April 11, 2025, due to surgical complications.
Born on October 1, 1974, in Davidson County, Chad was the son of William “Billy” and the late Brenda Wooten. He was a proud 1992 graduate of Central Davidson High School and a faithful member of Arcadia Village Church. A hardworking man with a strong spirit, Chad owned and operated Wooten & Son Painting, where he poured his skill and dedication into every project.
Chad had a deep love for sports—whether cheering from the couch or playing football on his Xbox. He also shared a special bond with his son, Eli, through their passion for go-kart racing, celebrating three track championships together.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Brenda Wooten, on February 18, 2025.
Chad is survived by his loving wife, Amy Wooten, of the home; his beloved son, Eli Wooten; and stepchildren Alex and Aubrey Speckin. He is also survived by his father, Billy Wooten; sister, Pam Rogers (Craig); four nieces; and seven great-nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, April 27th at 2:00 PM at Arcadia Village Church, 117 Boulevard Rd, Clemmons, NC 27012. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and love.
Go Rest High on That Mountain Chad…No more pain. Love and Peace.
Oh Chad I’m at a loss for words. I first met you and Loren on bikes back in the 90s. We had some fun times riding to high point and hanging out. I seen the birth of your son Eli and followed thru his racing career and how proud you were of him. I have lost so many friends over the years and quite a few over last couple weeks but see this last night at 2 am is the hardest. You were always so full of life and wide open so to speak. I’m going miss seeing you and talking on the phone. Rest in peace buddy and look in on us from time to time.
Oh this hurts my heart. Another bright light taken from THE most loving family I have ever known.
I love y’all.
