1935 - 2025
Larry Carl “Snuffy” Smith, passed away, on Sunday, March 16, 2025.
He was born May 15 1935 to Clarance and Della Smith. Larry worked on a dairy farm and he worked at Stone Container for over 25 years, where he retired in 1992. He had many friends that loved him Dearly. He loved to work in the garden and being out doors and loved to have a good time.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lydia Anne Lawson Smith; and daughter, Paula Smith.
He is survived by his children, Randy (Aleta) Smith, Larry (Julie) Smith, Cathy (Tim) Tysinger, Susan Epley, and Diane Owens; grandchildren, Amy (Chad) Watkins, T.J (Crystal) Tysinger, Steven Smith, Tabitha Swicegood, Tyler Smith, Chance (Bethany) Owens, Cheyenne (Shawn) Swing, Dacota Ownes, Scharmel (Michael) Clement, Lydia (Rachel) Smith, Larry (Shay) Epley, Chris Epley, Billy Beckom Jr, Jake (Alexandra) Smith, Katie (Jeremy) Gillantt; 19 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
There will be a Celebration of Life held on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm at 196 Lydia Lane, Advance NC 27006.

Hello everyone thank you for stopping by and paying respects to my grandfather. I say this with a heavy heart that unfortunately and inconveniently must convey we are canceling his celebration of life due to the new owners not wanting anyone down there. He was a greatly loved and well known man. I will miss you more than you will ever know.
